Today, I'm going to talk about what the transition into the new year actually brings us and why we sometimes feel pressured to immediately become a "new version" of ourselves.
Looking back on almost seven years of blogging, I realize how much a person can actually change. Each new year brings its own energy, but at the same time, it always forces us to ask ourselves the question: "What will you achieve this year?" Sometimes I feel that all these lists of resolutions only burden us even more. Instead of enjoying the holidays, we think about all the things we haven't done yet.
For me, the new year is primarily a time for cleaning—not just my apartment, but above all my head and heart. I like to reflect on all the lessons the old year has taught me. Even the difficult moments when I felt lost or when things didn't go according to plan. Now I know that it was precisely those moments that taught me the most about compassion for myself and others. Failure doesn't exist if you learn something from it, right?
In this new year, I wish you the courage to dream, but at the same time to keep your feet on the ground. To set goals that make you happy, not those that others expect of you. Maybe your goal this year is simply to take more time for what really fills you with energy – whether it's reading, walking in nature, or creating. It's important to find your peace in the midst of this crazy world.
Don't forget that you have incredible power within you. Every day is a new page in your diary, and you are the one holding the pen. Don't wait for perfect conditions, because they will probably never come. Start where you are, with what you have. I will be here with you, sharing my thoughts, failures, and victories, as I have done all these years.
Thank you to everyone who has been with me from the very beginning, and welcome to all the newcomers. May this year be full of love, health, and that true rainbow energy!
Hugs, Eva
