Today, I’m going to talk about my experiences with therapy and how important it is to have a safe space in life where someone truly hears us without judgment. Growing up, we often find ourselves in situations where we cannot discuss certain things with our parents or loved ones, as they too have their own challenges to contend with. When you realize that you don't always have to carry everything alone and that you don't need to take care of everything without support, the opportunity for a professional conversation becomes an exceptionally valuable tool for personal relief.
I began my journey of conversations with a specialist very early on, back when I didn't yet fully understand all the formal differences between various branches of help, but that didn't even matter. The greatest value of the entire experience was precisely having someone by my side who gifted me their time, their presence, and simply listened to me. Sometimes we don't need complex formulas or immediate solutions, but merely someone who listens when we need to let things out and helps us better understand the dynamics around us and within our family.
From this experience, I gained the realization of how crucial it is that we do not remain silent and do not suppress our feelings inside. Seeking help or speaking openly about what we are going through is never a sign of weakness; rather, it is one of the most mature and courageous steps we can take for ourselves. Each of us deserves a space where we can be heard, and when we allow ourselves to open the door to support, we discover that life becomes so much lighter when we don't carry the weight entirely alone.
Hugs, Eva
