Peace without a screen - Time for me

Today, I'm going to talk about digital detox and what happens when you consciously decide to put your phone away for more than just a few minutes. Most people imagine "me time" as a hot bath or reading a book, but have you ever thought that the greatest gift you can give yourself is actually peace from all those notifications, lights, and constant screen checking?

I decided to describe my attitude towards this in a little more detail, although I must admit that I am naturally not the type of person who is glued to their phone all the time. I often just leave it somewhere in the room and go outside for some fresh air, help my dad with his work, or spend time with my pets. At that moment, I don't even think about what's going on in the virtual world. And you know what? I'm perfectly fine with that! In fact, it has become so natural to me that sometimes it takes me two hours to realize, "Wow, I haven't looked at my phone in two hours," and I feel an incredible sense of freedom.

When you put your phone down, your mind begins to clear. You may feel that slight, subconscious restlessness at first, when your hand automatically reaches for your pocket, but once you get past that phase, something wonderful happens. Your attention returns to the space where you are, here and now. Suddenly, you notice details in your room that you hadn't registered before—how the light falls on the wall, how peacefully your cats breathe as they sleep, or you simply feel a calm that is always drowned out by the noise of the internet.

This "digital disconnect" has an incredible effect on creativity. When you stop constantly receiving other people's information, you make room for your own thoughts and ideas. My head becomes clear, and ideas for my blog and life just start pouring in. Instead of looking at pictures of other people's lives, I start thinking about my own—about what I've learned, where I've found my symbols of happiness today, and where I want to direct my energy.

Spending time with animals without a phone in your hand is a very special experience. You can devote yourself completely to them, really observe them, and feel that deep connection that you can't get through a screen. When you are present, your energy calms down and your inner world becomes much richer.

So today, I challenge you to try spending at least two hours this afternoon completely without your phone. Go outside, be useful, help someone, play with your pets, or just be in silence. You will see that the world will not stop, and you will return to your phone much more rested, calm, and, above all, full of new, fresh energy. Time without a screen is not wasted time—it is time when you return to yourself.

Hugs, Eva
