Today I'm going to tell you 4 ways to beat the bad days. I'm surprised they exist, but I'll definitely try them out in the future.
4 unusual ways to get through a bad day
Often what we do when things are not going well doesn't help. But these four things can help
We all have our difficult days. Sometimes all it takes is bad weather and an unpleasant encounter and we have a bitter day.
The temptation most of us have when we are sad is to focus on ourselves and think about what is wrong. The best way to avoid this is to turn outwards instead. If we want to ease our pain, we can do something creative.
Watching too many films will not help us, because it only temporarily reduces the pain; when it is all over, we are as sad as when we started. Instead, do something. If you don't have enough energy for an activity you would otherwise love to do, discover something new.
Here are some ideas for you to try out the next time you're having a bad day.
TRY BAKING A LOAF OF BREAD
There's nothing wrong with never having done this before. You can find simple but great recipes online if you're baking for the first time. Besides making something delicious, it will make the whole house smell stunning. If you are trying to eat less bread or are gluten-averse, give a loaf to a friend or neighbour. It will make you feel good to do something nice for others.
KEEP COMMUNICATION WITH PEOPLE POSITIVE
If you're having a bad day, you're probably not in the mood for all sorts of conversations. But you can call someone up and read them a chapter from a funny book or find some jokes online and tell them. If you make contact with friends, that will help. And if you try to be funny or if you have something funny to say, it will only benefit you because you will laugh yourself.
RECREATIONS
Almost all studies on how to improve our mental well-being suggest that we should get active, get out in the air and exercise. This is a very useful piece of advice that proves to be true time and time again. But it is also true that on bad days, the last thing we want is to move. And if the weather is bad (rain, snow, cold), it's very hard to get to the gym - if we even have a ticket for a workout. But exercise will help you get your endorphin levels up, so give it a try!
LEARN TO YODEL
It sounds crazy, but it's effective. It just takes a little effort and a little equipment. All you need is your voice and some YouTube lessons. If you really try to learn how to yodel, your attempts are bound to be pretty funny. Maybe you should yodel when you call one of your friends and laugh with them at your attempts.
When the hard days hit you, keep an open mind. Create and try new things instead of repressing your feelings and shutting yourself away. The more good and encouraging habits you have, the better equipped you will be for when the hard days come again.
