I was going to save this post for February, but since this is more than not a winter topic I decided to tell you now.
Yes the title is right. The story starts one day when I heard somewhere that there is a traditional jump into the sea for New Year.
I told my teacher. She said okay, then do a little research on the internet and see how it goes. I said okay.
A few months later she asks me: Did you find anything?? I said no (I admit I forgot). She said I found something in Bled on 21.2. 2017 (This is Slovenia). This is called the traditional jump into Lake Bled. Never mind it was the middle of winter so I said okay, but then we will go?? The teacher said yes.
About a month later we really went there. We were alone with the teacher. The water was 4 degrees and the atmosphere was 5. It was really cold. We went to the Penguin, which means you just go in the lake and come right out. Just enough to get a little taste of how cold the water is.
It was such a good experience that we did it again next year. And we took 2 of my friends from the group with us. So there were four of us. But in 2018, there were cameras. They were filming for the Sunday Afternoon show. Yes, I was on TV and the footage is still available on RTV4D. I don't really remember in 21.2.2018 or even 2017. I'm the one who walks on all fours on the float yes indeed it was very cold water and that's appropriate.
Funny incident that happened there though was when a friend of mine was making up a speech all day if maybe she was being interviewed. And the funny thing is that they did and she couldn't say a single word. That you fall down hehe.
Anyway, I haven't gone winter swimming in Bled since then. Not because I didn't like the experience or because there was anything wrong with it. I've just grown up and I've been through it so it's behind me, but it's definitely worth going.
So that's the end of today's post, see you again tomorrow. When there's a new blogmas post and don't forget to subscribe to the newsletter, that way you'll be up to date with blogmas!
