Today I'm going to dedicate this post to my grandma, because it was her birthday on 13.2. and believe me when I say it's really special.
For some people 13 is an unlucky number, but for my grandma it is the most special and happy day! On this day she was born and at the same time celebrates her birthday - a double reason to celebrate! And if 13 really is an unlucky number, then all the other numbers were unlucky not to get my grandma.
Besides, 13 February 1945 was Carnival Tuesday, which means that on that day people were partying, eating doughnuts and rejoicing. Being born on Shrove Tuesday is an interesting coincidence - a day that symbolises the transition to something new.
Babi was a trained merchant, but not in the traditional field - her knowledge was more technically oriented, specialising in kitchen appliances. Nevertheless, life took her elsewhere and she ended up in the grocery trade. From the appliances that help with cooking to the food that goes straight onto the shelves, fate clearly has its own sense of humour.
This year she turns 80, a significant milestone. No matter where life takes you, every path leaves its mark. It may not all turn out the way we imagined, but every step contributes to the story we write over the years.
May her day be what she wants it to be and bring her what means the most to her.
That was all for today. We will read again in 4 days' time. Don't forget to subscribe to the newsletter, it's the only way to keep up to date, literally.
