Today, a new part of Samota. I know it hasn't been here for three months since October last year. Finally, it's here. Enjoy.
FIRST EQUIPMENT IN THE APARTMENT
The workers loaded the boxes into the trunk, and I thanked them.
“Goodbye.”
“Goodbye,” I said.
I closed the trunk, got into the car, and drove to the apartment. It's a good thing I have an apartment on the first floor. And it's great that they have an elevator. So I took everything up to the first apartment in the elevator.
As I was carrying the last box into the apartment, a voice behind me startled me, and I jumped a little.
“Oh, sorry. Did I scare you?” the lady apologized.
“A little, yes,” I replied and turned around.
I stepped out of the apartment into the hallway and introduced myself to the lady, and she introduced herself to me.
“Good day!” I greet her and offer her my hand.
“Good day to you too,” the lady greets me and offers me her hand.
“I'm Lana.”
“Maja,” replies my neighbor.
“I'm new here,” I tell her.
“I can see that. Can I call you by your first name?”
“Yes, of course,” I reply.
“Thank you, and you can call me by my first name too.”
“Okay. Thank you.”
“How can I help you, Lana?”
“I don't know. Today I'm starting with the boxes for my equipment. So I can't tell you. If I need help, I'll ring you.”
“Agreed.”
She was about to leave, but I asked her if she would like some coffee.
“Sure,” she replies.
“Okay. Come on in, please.”
“Thanks.”
She entered the apartment and I offered her a box to sit on.
“I'm sorry, I haven't set anything up yet. And I have to wash the cups. I'm still a little lost and trying to find myself,” I began to apologize.
“It's okay. I was the same at the beginning because I didn't have anything yet.”
“I believe you.”
“Yes. Otherwise, the coffee is excellent. Even though it was made on this portable stove,” she compliments my coffee.
“Thank you, Maja.”
“You're welcome. Now I'd better go so you can put everything you brought with you together in peace.”
“Yes, thank you.”
