Today, I will talk about how The Little Prince teaches us to see the world with our hearts.
His story is not just a fairy tale for children, but a profound life lesson for all of us. In each chapter, we find a message that stops us in our tracks and reminds us that we humans have forgotten simplicity, sincerity, and wonder at small things.
When the Little Prince talks about his rose, he touches on the essence of relationships. The rose was one of many, but it was special to him because he was the one who cared for it. He watered it, protected it from the wind, and listened to its whims. This is the secret—people or things are not special because they are perfect, but because we devote our time, energy, and love to them.
How many times in life do we long to find something "special"? In reality, specialness is something we create ourselves with our dedication and openness. When we choose someone or something, when we put in the effort and truly devote ourselves, a bond is formed that no one else can replace.
The Little Prince says that what is essential is invisible to the eye. This means that everything that is truly important cannot be proven or seen on the outside.
How do we measure friendship? How do we weigh love? How do we prove sincerity? We can't. We can only feel them – and when we allow them to guide us, life takes on a deeper meaning.
Sometimes we get lost in comparisons, in proving ourselves, and in wanting to have everything under control. But that is when the Little Prince reminds us that beauty lies in stopping, taking a breath, and feeling what is truly important.
Maybe it's a moment with a friend. Maybe it's a hug. Maybe it's a small gesture that is invisible to others but means everything to your heart.
And that is precisely where the power of this story lies. It doesn't matter how much we have, how fast we run, or how many goals we achieve. What matters is that we know how to see the essence—and that we dare to open our hearts.
So I invite you to ask yourself today:
Who or what in your life do you truly see with your heart?
Who are you willing to give your time and love to, to make them special?
Let the Little Prince remind you that you have the power to create a world where beauty is invisible to the eye but clear to your heart.
If you liked this post, share it – maybe today it will remind someone else what is really important.
Hugs,
Eva
