5. RELATIVES
And my mother's children, who are all around her age, each have three and two children, and I get along with all of them. We also have a Facebook group where we are all members, which means there are four of us in the group. The others don't have Facebook yet because they are still too young.
My mother's older cousin is forty, the other cousin is thirty-eight, and the third cousin is thirty-six. Amanda has three children, three daughters. The first is called Lili, the second Lara, and the third Manca. Amadeja also has three children, but she has three boys. The first is called Nino, the second Liam, and the third Val. And Anita's children are Nina and Leja. They also know Slovenian, so there's no problem communicating. I should ask my mother if they're coming to visit us on vacation this year.
"I'll ask her tomorrow," I say to myself.
I put on my pajamas and jumped into bed. I turned on a podcast on my phone to help me fall asleep.
I woke up at eight, which was the first time in a long time I had woken up at that hour. And it suited me fine to sleep until then, because I really hadn't dared to fall asleep last night. And I slept badly during the night. "Good morning, sweetheart. How are you?"
"Good morning, Mom. I'm okay. I didn't sleep well last night."
"Oh? I didn't sleep well either," Mom agrees.
"Yeah. Oh? Apparently, it's the moon."
"That's possible. What are you having for breakfast?"
"I don't know. I'll have some coffee first."
"Okay."
"Yes. Mom?"
"Yes?"
"Have you heard from Amanda?"
"No, we haven't heard from her yet. Why?"
"Oh, okay. In case they happen to come on vacation."
"Oh. I don't know. I should call her. I could call her today."
"Agreed. If you decide to do something, it would be good to check the rooms and the attic," I say.
"Yes, yes."
"Yes."
