Today, I'm going to talk about what it means to be a successful person in today's crazy world, where it seems that the only thing that matters is how fast you run and how many things you've done in a day. Have you ever wondered if this constant busyness is really what makes us happy?
I read an interesting reflection by psychologists that true success is not about having a full schedule from morning to night. The fact is that society teaches us that a "slow life" is something bad, that we are lazy if we take time for ourselves. But the truth is quite the opposite. A successful person is someone who knows how to say "no" to a fast pace and dares to live their own way.
Why do we think we have to be tired all the time to be successful? Psychologists warn that this constant rushing actually distances us from ourselves. When we are rushing, we cannot really think, we cannot feel, and we cannot be creative. True success lies in being the master of your own time. In daring to stop, take a breath, and figure out what brings you peace.
I had to learn this myself. Sometimes we feel that if nothing "special" happens in a day, the day has been wasted. But that's not true! If you took the time for a peaceful walk, if you observed nature or just had a quiet conversation with someone you love, you have done a lot. That's what counts. Success is your inner peace, not the number of check marks on your to-do list.
So, today's motivation is: slow down. Don't be afraid of missing out on something. We miss out the most when we rush so much that we don't even notice life passing us by. Being successful means being present in your life here and now. Success is when you lie down in bed at night and feel at peace with yourself, regardless of how much work you've done.
Let's learn to enjoy the little things again and at our own pace. Everyone has their own path and their own time. Don't compare yourself to others who are always in a hurry. Be that "slow" successful person who actually enjoys every moment.
Hugs, Eva
