Today, a new part of the story of wealth written by my friend.
6. CONVERSATION
During the conversation, I took a cup from the cupboard and poured myself some coffee. I looked in the fridge to see if there was anything I could make for breakfast.
"What are you looking for?"
"I'm looking for something for breakfast. But I don't have any ideas right now."
And then I remembered that we have croissants in the freezer.
"I'll make myself a croissant," I say to my mom.
"Okay. Then I'll have one too."
"Okay. I'll take two out."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome."
I opened the freezer and took out two croissants. I put them on a plate and put them in the microwave.
We sat down at the counter together and started eating croissants and drinking coffee.
"How long do you have until the end of school?"
"Wait, I have to think about it," I replied.
I looked at the calendar and quickly counted and subtracted all the weekends.
"There's still a good month left. Of course, if you only count working days."
"This month will go by quickly."
"I see. I was thinking of booking a vacation now."
"Really?"
"Yes. But we'd have to check with Lejla to see if she's coming too. Considering she'll be home alone for two months."
"Yes, yes. I'd better call her and ask."
"Yes. Call her. And it's best to put her on speakerphone so I can talk to her father too."
"Yes, yes. We can go on vacation first and then talk to Amanda and the others if they come to visit us this year."
"We can do that."
"Yes."
"I'll go to the office to see what kind of vacation I can get right after school ends. And if I get something, I'll call you, and when you get here, you'll call Lejla. And tell her about the vacation."
"Agreed."
Mom went to the office and I went upstairs to my room to get the phone. I came back downstairs, went into the living room, turned on the TV, and looked to see what was on.
