Today you have a new story Enjoy living on your own.
PACKING MY THINGS
"Well, that's nice. I hope you'll invite us to your apartment sometime," says my mother.
"Maybe I will. We'll see," I reply.
"Okay."
"If you have nothing else to do, you can come," I say gruffly.
"I'll come."
"Fine," I agree.
Mom goes down to the kitchen and I start taking clothes out of the closets, just enough to see what I have.
"It's best to start packing so I know where the summer clothes are and where the winter clothes are."
I decided to put my summer clothes in a travel bag and my winter clothes in a suitcase. I'll put my computer and the three photos I have among the winter clothes. The photos are of me and my late grandmother, whom I miss very much. I also have three flowers in my room, all three on the windowsill.
I looked at the clock and suddenly it was already seven in the evening. Earlier, when I had filled my suitcase with summer clothes, I had taken it downstairs so it wouldn't bother me. I also took one of the flowers to the car. I put the suitcase in the trunk and the flower on the front seat, but I put it on the floor so it wouldn't fall over on the way to the apartment. I went back to my room to get my suitcase, which was packed full. I had to go down slowly with it because it contained my computer and those three photos of my grandmother. I went to look for the two flowers I had left and put them in the front, and I put the suitcase in the back with the travel bag.
Of all my family members, I miss my grandmother the most. My grandmother was my ally, my best friend. My grandmother was my mother's mother. And my mother is completely different from my grandmother; they were completely different. When my grandmother died, my mother hated me even more and was always angry with me for no reason. And now, when I'm in my own apartment, I'll have my freedom, and no one will criticize me.
It was eight o'clock in the evening when I brought everything into the apartment. I put my suitcase and travel bag in the room under the window. I put the flowers on the kitchen window sill.
That's it for this post, see you again in 4 days.
Hugs,
Eva.
