7. PLANNING HOLIDAYS
"Lina! Come here!"
"Yes, I'm coming."
I took my phone with me and went to my mom's office.
"What did you find?" I asked her.
"I found an apartment in Croatia, close to the beach and at a good price."
"Where in Croatia?"
"Pag."
"Ooh, good idea."
"Okay."
"Now I'd better call Lejla."
"Yes, call her so we can agree on when would suit her."
"Yes."
I typed in the phone number and pressed call.
"Hi Lina."
"Hi Lejla. I have a question."
"Ask away."
"Would you like to go on vacation with us to Croatia this summer?"
"Sure. Where in Croatia?"
"Pag."
"Okay. Where would we stay?" Lejla asked.
"In an apartment."
"Okay."
"Just tell us when you'd be available in the summer."
"Yes. I'll be available for a good two months in the summer because my dad is going on a business trip on July 1. He'll be back home on September 1," said Lejla.
"Okay."
"Oh, Lejla. I'm still here. I just looked at the dates for this vacation. The first date is from June 24 to July 8, the second date is from July 14 to July 28, and the third is from July 29 to August 16. It's booked up until the end of August, and September is also booked up," says Mom about the dates.
"Okay," replies Lejla.
"What if we called Canada and asked them about their vacation?"
"I can call them. I just don't know what their vacation plans are. I haven't called them yet," replies Mom.
"Yes, yes," I agree.
"Well, should I make a reservation, set a date, or wait?" Mom asks Lejla.
"Sonja, please tell me the dates again and I'll tell Dad. Just so he knows and can make suggestions. And so he knows where we're going."
"Okay. Yes, I can repeat them to you," Mom replies.
"Thanks. What does the apartment look like?"
"The apartment has four rooms, a bathroom, a separate toilet, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, and a balcony with a sea view. I can send you a link."
"Yes, you can send it to me, just so I can see what it's like."
"Yes, yes."
