How i listen to my intuition

Everyone talks about the "sixth sense," that inner voice that tells you what’s right and what’s wrong. But in a world where we’re constantly bombarded by other people’s opinions, advertisements, phone calls, and bureaucracy, that voice has become an incredibly faint whisper. So how can we even recognize and listen to our intuition amid all this noise?

First, we need to clarify one thing: intuition is not logical thinking. Logic analyzes, calculates, and often operates out of fear of the future or based on past negative experiences. Intuition, however, has no past and no future—it knows the here and now. When you feel that instant “yes” or “no” before your brain even manages to compile a list of reasons, that is intuition.

Here are three simple steps to start consciously listening to it again:

Listen to your body: Your body is an incredible energy receiver. Intuition most often speaks through physical sensations. Have you ever met someone and immediately felt a knot in your stomach? Or had an idea and felt that wave of warmth and excitement wash over your whole body? The body never lies. When you have to make a decision, stop and see where in your body you feel a response.

Silence the ego (fear): How do you distinguish intuition from fear? Fear is loud, panicky, goes in circles, and paints you a picture of worst-case scenarios. Intuition, on the other hand, is calm. Even when it’s telling you something unpleasant (for example, that a certain relationship or project just isn’t right for you), it tells you calmly, as a simple fact. No drama, no shouting.

Start with small things: Don’t wait for major life decisions to test your inner compass. Begin by practicing with the little things in your daily life. When you go for a walk, don’t think about where you’re going to turn—just go with the flow and turn wherever you feel “drawn” to. Let your intuition choose which book to read or what food your body truly needs that day.

The more you trust these little flashes of insight, the louder your intuition will become. It’s like a muscle that you need to train regularly. Once you get into its rhythm, you’ll realize you no longer need to constantly analyze and doubt yourself. The universe is already giving you the answers; your job is simply to calm down and let them come to the surface.

Hugs, Eva
