Most people live with the belief that they will only become free once their external circumstances change. They tell themselves they will be free when they have more money, when they finish certain obligations, when they move to another place, or when the people around them finally start acting differently. In reality, this is one of the biggest traps we can fall into, because by thinking this way, we voluntarily hand over the key to our own happiness to the outside world. True, deep freedom never comes from what is happening around us; it is always a matter of our internal decision. Freedom does not begin on the outside, but the moment we realize that no one and nothing has power over our inner state unless we give them that power ourselves.
When we wait for perfect conditions to start living life on our own terms, we unintentionally place ourselves in the role of a victim of our circumstances, schedules, and the expectations of others. True freedom is born when we dare to take full responsibility for our lives and realize that we have the power to choose in every single second. We can choose how we react to challenges, how we set boundaries with those who drain us, and which voice within us we will listen to—the voice of fear or the voice of our own intuition. This means daring to say a courageous "NO" to the things that suffocate us and saying "YES" with all our hearts to what awakens passion and joy within us. Freedom is the decision to stay true to our own guidance and our own truth, regardless of how slowly or chaotically the world around us may be moving.
Being free means stepping out of the need to constantly please others and wait for the validation of the outside world. Once you build stability within yourself and realize that you are your own greatest authority, the opinions of others can no longer limit or stop you. Freedom is not a life without problems or obligations; it is a state of mind in which you know that you are the one steering your destiny and writing your own story. Therefore, do not wait for better times, for the approval of others, or for all the pieces of the puzzle to align perfectly. Choose freedom here and now—with every small decision where you choose your peace, your creative work, and your own path over the expectations of others.
Hugs,
Eva
